- It was my responsibility to enforce federal criminal civil rights statutes and other violations of the federal criminal code. I drafted arrest warrants, presented cases to grand juries, arranged plea bargain agreements, and prosecuted cases in federal district courts throughout the country. I served as an instructor in the Attorney General's Advocacy Institute and I was a special prosecutor in the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia.
Military Service:
I entered the Army as a Second Lieutenant in November 1967. I served in Vietnam. I was released as a First Lieutenant in August 1969. I obtained some trial experience while acting as defense counsel for special court martials.
